Karate Club meets every Tuesday evening in Shotts
Community Education Centre
New Members Welcome
~ Children’s Class - 6.15pm - 7.15pm ~

6 to 12 years)
~ Adults’ Class - 7.15pm – 9.00pm ~

The age limit quoted on children is approximate because a child's
physical size and/or experience is taken into account for both the children's
and adults' classes.

Colin Russell, 3rd Dan (SKGB Coach Level 2)
Colin has been attending Shotts Karate Club since 1980 and has been a Dan Grade
since 1991. He has been club instructor since Feb 2008 and passed his
3rd Dan Grade in 1999.
Bruce Reeves, 5th Dan
Bruce has attended Shotts Karate Club for over
30 years and is a qualified referee to SKGB Level A.
He is also the Licensing Officer for the
Scottish Karate Federation.
Dennis Sutherland, 1st Dan
Denny has attended Shotts Karate Club
for over 25 years and assists with both
the children's and adults' classes.
Jim McCord, 7th Dan.
Jimmy is the founder member of Shotts Karate Club.
He started the club in 1976 and after over 30 years moved to Thailand when he passsed the running of the club to Colin Russell.
Jimmy is also experienced in Judo, Wu Style Tai Chi, Meditation and Chi Kung internal arts; all of which he practices daily in Serene Sands Health Resort in Thailand (see link below).
